President/Sr. Project Manager
Mike has over 15 years of commercial, public and residential construction and project management experience. His career in the design and construction industry includes extensive experience in high efficiency building systems and renewables. Mike provides general project oversight and serves as the primary liaison from design to construction, coordinating the myriad of activities required to successfully launch, design and deliver some of Energy 1's most complex projects. He is an accredited professional and active member with the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association. He has a B.S. degree in Construction Management from Boise State University.
Vice President/Project Manager
Prior to joining Energy 1, Leo worked for a commercial contractor specializing in large scale institutional projects. He also worked with an international project and cost management consultancy group. Leo provides corporate overview, marketing/business development support and general project oversight, ensuring project requirements consistently meet Owner expectations, contractual requirements and professional standards. Leo has a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State University.
CHARLES PAULIN, P.E.
Charles has over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering, designing commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. He provides HVAC engineering and design oversight for many of Energy 1's large residential, commercial and institutional type projects. He is also experienced in energy studies, 3-D energy modeling and mechanical system retrofits/upgrades. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado.
TODD NELSON, P.E., CGD
Todd has over 15 years of commercial, public, and residential HVAC and plumbing design and project management experience. He has experience directing projects from the conceptual design phase through bidding and construction. Todd is a Certified GeoExchange Designer, and an active member with IGSHPA (International Ground Source Heat Pump Association) and AEE (Association of Energy Engineers). He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boise State University.
Walter has over 25 years of management and marketing experience in a wide variety of industries. He was a founding and managing partner of a full-service communications firm and has also worked as a marketing consultant. Recently, he helped lead efforts on the planning and development of a major LEED certified municipal project. He has a B.A. from Macalester College and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Field Manager - Mechanical Systems/Controls
Jason is a well tenured professional in the construction industry and has over 15 years of valuable experience in the design, installation, commissioning and service of high efficiency mechanical systems. He has an extensive background in geothermal heating and cooling systems and is a certified installer with the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).
ADAM HAWKS, P.E., CGDIT
Adam has extensive design experience in residential and commercial high efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. He also worked as an intern for the National Park Service, performing sustainability analyses and greenhouse gas emission surveys on national parks in the Intermountain Region. Adam holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University.
